Lazy J have a 'big', full sound that, at times, kicks off into dynamic overdrive and challenges the integrity of your speaker cones. Then, next minute, the guys take it down into a cool soulful smoothness that simmers gently then builds back into an electric storm, a controlled fury of dense rock raunch and indie power. Variation, variation and more variation; that seems to be the prime mover in Lazy J's eclectic electric powerhouse music as massive rock riffs, thunderous percussion, pounding bass and well proportioned vocal outpourings decorate and illuminate every song.
Lazy J put a new slant on funked-up rock'n'roll; their highly charged take on the genre is exciting and pretty fuckin' compelling.
